Grades & specifications
Ferrous scrap is normally bought and sold against written specifications. Internationally, many contracts reference ISRI codes listed in the ReMA (formerly ISRI) ferrous materials list and the Scrap Specifications Circular. The Circular is the authoritative reference for code definitions; the table below summarises our three primary export grades for buyers.
