Typical programmes follow a clear sequence: agreed specification and commercial terms → pre-shipment inspection where contracted → loading → ocean freight → discharge and customs at destination → settlement according to your payment structure (for example documentary collection or letter of credit). Exact steps, documents, and responsibilities are always confirmed in writing for each shipment.
Industry-grade definitions and codes (including ISRI codes published in the Recycled Materials Association (ReMA) Scrap Specifications Circular, formerly ISRI) are a common reference in international scrap contracts.
