Swarna Rice
Oryza sativa L. — parboiled medium grain workhorse
Swarna parboiled is a price-led volume line, and the only specification that really moves the number is broken percentage: 5%, 15% and 25% are the standard grades, with purity ranging 95–98% accordingly. Decide the grade before comparing quotes, because an offer that looks cheap is usually quoting 25% against your 5%. Parboiled and silky polished, moisture at 14% maximum. Be clear-eyed about this market: West African parboiled buying is a price war against mills selling their own production, often on unconfirmed local-bank letters of credit. We quote it, but we would rather build your account on a spec-sold line where the margin can survive a bad week.
