Natural sesame keeps its seed coat, which makes it the grade of choice for oil crushing and for buyers running their own hulling line, as well as for bakery applications where a rustic finish is wanted. The parameter that actually sets price here is oil content — contracted at 48% minimum on a dry basis — with purity negotiated between 99% standard and 99.5% sortex-cleaned. Note that free fatty acid is specified on the extracted oil rather than on the seed, which is a common point of confusion when comparing offers. Consignments into the EU require an IOPEPC Certificate of Export together with an Official Certificate, and Salmonella absence in 25 g. A 20ft container takes roughly 18–19 MT and cubes out before it reaches the payload limit.
